Internet Explorer and zoom

Just read this and I have to say, "Is that it?". The least the "article" could do is show some method of dynamically changing it, like this.

I get that 'style your scrollbar' flashback.

IMHO completely useless.

For the most part yes, but I could see it being used in a gallery script, or a shopping cart (to allow you to see larger images of a product). But since it's not cross browser, you have to ask "What's wrong with simple, larger images?". It's easier and you reach a larger audience.

It could be used (just like styled scrollbars), but I feel that we {as (web)developers} should stick to standards and should not implement any browser specific features into a website.

I happen to love jQuery js framework. A nice cross-browser Image Zoom thingie can be found here:

It also degrades if one doesn't use javascript (or jabbascript :-) )

Not so much. It doesn't work in IE. Also it seems to be flawed in FF - clicking the small image twice means you have to subsequently click the large image twice to get rid of it.
